Assalamualaikum...
Pardon me, this entry supposed to update 2 years ago, even before I got married. Tapi, ya ampun, punya lah busy waktu tu sampai cerita tak keluar dekat blog sendiri. And, I do forgot few things during my travel there.
Nak ikutkan cerita pergi Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) ni tak lama pun. 3 hari je bersama my mom and my uncle's family, Pak Lang. Kitorang pergi Jumaat pagi then return Ahad petang around end October 2013. Kami bertujuh dalam flight yang sama, cuma booking lain-lain. Like my cousin, they are very lucky cause they booked during promo free seat by Air Asia, but we booked late tapi still dapat harga promo. Like me and my mom tic price around RM500 return, but my cousin they paid RM1000 for 5 people. Untung tak kau rasa? Btw, my cousin ni memang pandai cari tic murah sebab dia selalu travel keluar.
We reached at hotel around afternoon tapi tak bernasib baik sebab hotel yang my cousin tengah renovation and the relocate us to another hotel without extra charge, cuma jauh sikit la. Dalam 50m like that, tapi kitorang prefer hotel yang kitorang dah booked sebab tu lagi dekat dengan market yang kitorang nak pergi. Hotel yang kitorang duduk ni pun I dah lupa apa namanya cause their name in Vietnamese.

Loromg kawasan Malay village. Ada banyak kedai makan halal Melayu dekat sini. Hotel pun banyak. Banyak Malaysian dekat sini. tak macam melancong overseas pun. |
Tapi, very lucky our stay is like Malay village. Nak cari makanan macam melayu pun tak susah sebab banyak dah dekat area situ. Tapi nak bayor la mahal. Market yang dekat dengan kitorang tu namanya Ben Thanh Market. Sini memang ramai tourist, and harga dia murah juga. Many things sell here even I got chances bougth shades, sourvenir, pants (for my brothers). Tapi, ada lagi yang murah which is Bin Thay Market (idk how to spell it right). But market ni memang jauh (kitorang pun naik cab) and tak ramai Malay tourist dekat situ. I found my bridesmaid dresses here lagi murah. I got 1 pair around RM35, but if dekat Ben Thanh market tu dorang jual RM55/pair. Nasib tak beli awal-awal kan. Apa lagi, memang I borong habis-habisn dekat Bin Thay market tu.

Nak ikutkan, kitorang banyak shopping je dekat sini. Takde pun pergi tempat-tempat bersejarah dorang ke apa. But kitorang sempat pergi ke Post Office Building lama dorang dengan Vietnam masjid. Untung kitorang waktu singgah masjid tu ada pasangan tengah akad nikah.

Quite fun berjalan dekat sini even kejap. Tapi culture dorang ni, susah benar nak cari orang drive kereta. Yang ride motor toksah cakap la. Kita ni pun seram tengok cara dorang bawak motor.
And, one more thing, peniaga-peniaga sana some they can speak Malay like us. Jangan lah terperanjat sebab dah ramai orang kita melancong ke sana. And my own opinion, while you shopping and negotiate, better use Ringgit Malaysia instead of US Dolar or Vietnamese Dong, sebab currency kita lagi murah dan tak rugi. But now, I'm not too sure how. Ringgit Malaysia pun tengah down sama juga dengan USD.
